I don’t know if 100 is enough but some futures brokers let you trade with a very small amount in your account. You need decent credit, though, because they’re letting you do it on margin. You also need to subscribe to data which will add to the cost. Once you start live you have the skimmed down version of the platform for free but still pay $4 for data and your commissions are $5.58RT for eMini. Sadly it has not and most likely won't change at least anytime soon. If you ask me, the most suitable brokerage firms for me have to be fxview and TD ameritrade. But it doesn’t mean that they would be best for your trading requirements also. Amp futures, ninja trader, Tradovate are a few. They have much lower commission ($.3x-$.5x) each way for micro contracts. Ninja is a decent platform. It costs more and I just don’t think it’s as customizable. Interactive Brokers is just not good for futures. Platform sucks, data is crap. I’ve heard Tradeovate is good. But you still need a charting platform (I believe). AMP is probably the cheapest as far as commissions go.
