There is a certain sense of pride from building your own truck. I still get compliments on my F250, even though I have definitely used it. Hey guys well I took your advice and was going to send out the injection pump on the 6.9 IDI to get rebuild. I found a considerable oil leak between the pump housing (aluminum piece with oil fill spout) and the rest of the motor so I took it off to get surfaces cleaned and put some new sealant on it. I've never dealt with these symptoms before and some internet reading suggests various things from seized front u-joints to steering column.Per the manual, normal hot oil pressure is 10 psi idle and 40-70 psi @ 2200 rpm. Is "normal driving" is below that... I suggest you get her good and hot then in neutral rev it to 2200 and read the pressure. That's how the manual says to do it. The bell housing bolt patterns are the same. Though it looks like the zf6 may be larger around the rest of the transmission.Its not very long. Install the jets before you attempt installing the pistons. Those bolts are a special grade bolt too. Do not use a home depot bolt. The engine harmonics will crack the bolts and then you loose a poston of the complete engine because you have no oil pressure.
