UMD recruiters mostly consist of government contracting companies like Lockheed Martin, Leidos, etc. At UIUC you will find more recruiters for faang and trading companies. Imo uiuc better campus and better cs program too.If you can understand the example problems that he works through in class and assigns in the homework, you should basically be fine. Loading times of UMD disks are obviously worse, but they are not THAT bad as they say. I mean, I grew up waiting for Half-Life 2 to load on a Pentium 4, and compared to that the PSP loading times are pretty brief :-P And yes: you should definitely purchase original UMD-based games, because digital distribution is a threat to the future of gaming.
